Social Media Intern
Emily has always been passionate about volunteering and giving back to the community, but her enthusiasm for travel came to life following a study abroad trip to Tanzania in 2013.
After earning her B.A. in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University, Emily began a career in event planning and volunteer management in Seattle for a small association that prepares high school students to become emerging leaders and entrepreneurs. Her passion to work in education continued when she made the leap to Chicago where she worked for National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
In 2012, she decided to solidify this passion by heading back to school to obtain an M.S. in Public Service Management with a focus on higher education administration. While in school, she took a position with DePaul University in the Office of Alumni Relations planning events and managing volunteer groups. After almost three wonderful years at DePaul, she decided to enter back into the association world and took a position with The Executives’ Club of Chicago. With the desire to travel and be back in a university setting, she now works at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, managing the alumni clubs in Boston, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
As the Marketing and Social Media Intern with Unearth the World, she loves bringing brand awareness to the global community and inspiring others to engage in meaningful volunteer projects abroad.
